Those of us who attended high school in the early sixties remember most of the lyrics in "Best of Manouchehr Sakhaie". Many of us played "Doostesh Daaram" at full blast to show our defiance to our family members who told us our beloved "was not good enough" for us.

I ran into Manouchehr and his wife in 1967 in a store in Tehran. I was amazed at how tall and handsome he was. I went on a camping trip with a group of Iranian professionals in my age group a few years back. I was delighted to see how many chose to sing Manouchehr's songs when we gathered at night. This album will bring back a lot of good memories.
